Job Title Intern - Instructional Editor
Based at Home Office
Position reports to Jennifer Hofmann
Job Purpose Summary This person will work with a database of synchronous activities to create a publication in the genre of “Games Trainers Play.” The title of the publication will be “More Ready-To-Use Activities for the Virtual Classroom.”
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: The Instructional Editor will:
1. Review database of existing activities created by participants in InSync offerings to identify unique and instructionally sound submissions
2. Work with activity creator to clarify questions and to obtain permission for use in publication
3. Work with team to create template design and publication theme
4. Create, compile, and edit final product
Knowledge Required Ability to recognize effective instructional design
Skills Needed Excellent written communication skills; Strong organization skills; ability to manage time and make decisions about best use of time; ability to communicate with colleagues in written and verbal format; word processing and document formatting
Behaviors Exhibited Ability to collaborate with external customers and team members; self-directed; confident in decision making; strong team skills (including ability to provide feedback; willingness to back up team members); not a procrastinator.
