Program Description

The acronym for this program is especially apt because producers can be one of the most valuable players on your team! Live, online learning initiatives have rapidly changed from, "Let's give this a try" to, "We have to make this work, and quickly!" With this transition, the producer takes center stage as a key role in the delivery of successful virtual training programs.

The role of the producer involves rapid task switching to monitor the technical aspects of a virtual learning event, while keeping an eye on the input and engagement of the participants, as WELL as supporting the facilitator. This is no small chore! The Master Virtual Producer (MVP) Certificate (formally Expert Synchronous Producer) prepares you to support any type of virtual session in any organization. MVP focuses on the skills a producer needs to ensure a successful delivery of a live, online course.

This course is targeted towards those whose current or future job descriptions will require them to support facilitators in the virtual classroom.

Program Level Objectives

On completion of this course, you will be able to:
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of a producer.
  • Distinguish between a technical producer and an instructional producer.
  • Demonstrate effective communication.
  • Support facilitators and participants by applying appropriate communication techniques.
  • Apply a four-step process to recover from common technical challenges.
  • Prepare for production mastery by creating an action plan for virtual classroom management.

This program is delivered via WebEx Training Center or Adobe Connect, but the content is applicable to all virtual classroom platforms.
